Hong Kong’s duty-free policy encourages trade

This is one of the leading international mineral & rough gems trade events to be organised by UBM Asia in Hong Kong. UBM Asia expands its series of professional trade fairs with the launch of Mineral & Gem Asia, which provides players in the mineral and rough gemstone trade a springboard to expand their business, widen their networks and gather the latest market intelligence. Hong Kong is easily accessible for all because of its status as a duty-free port, which is a boon for the global trade.

Strong support from the industry

Mineral & Gem Asia is empowered by Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair.  Moreover, people behind The Munich Show in Germany, Europe’s largest mineral fair, highly recommended Mineral & Gem Asia such that they are organising a group of suppliers from Europe to exhibit in the fair.  In addition, many suppliers from outside Europe seek to participate in the Fair too.

As of May 2014, we have already received the exhibition space reservation from over 260 companies from 21 countries and regions including Africa, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Colombia, Hong Kong, India Italy, Mexico, Morocco, Pakistan, Peru, Russia Federation, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, UAE, Uruguay and USA.

Senior Vice President of UBM Asia, Wolfram Diener, said: “We are very proud to pioneer a new fair in Hong Kong and to receive such overwhelming support from the industry. I truly believe that this new fair will be another bright spot and create a new foothold for players in the mineral & gemstone industry to expand their business to the Far East.”
